The pilot's need for an easy to use analogue Chronographs, with stop functions and exceptional reliability, all at an affordable price, has now been fulfilled by Swiss manufacturer Benz Micro. Developed in conjunction with E T A, the largest Swiss manufacturer of watch movements, a new line of aviation and marine chronographs is now available at an attractive price.
These chronographs are specifically developed by Benz Micro to meet the needs of the aeronautical and maritime community, using the best currently available quartz technology. The chronograph movement, powered by an alkaline battery, is warranted for three years.
To conserve weight, the housing is made of a lightweight corrosion resistant aluminum alloy, in Matt black finish. The scratch resistant glass and push buttons are sealed by O-rings for reliable protection against water and dust.
The indicator hands and the numbers are coated with fluorescent white tritium while the two large second and minute hands for the stop watch functions are coated with fluorescent red. An adjustable bezel on the outer ring, can be turned for time recording. Internal lighting is available using any 12 or 24 Volt on board the electrical system.
To aid accurate interpretation, the indicator hands have been carefully designed for clarity and appearance. Additionally, the minute hand jumps from minute to minute, and the hour hand jumps from hour to hour.
Ergonomic design in an active environment has been considered. No function buttons protrude to catch on clothing or hands. Easily operated function buttons on top of the instrument can even be operated in the dark.
