RAF issue Aircraft Clock, Type 11

Introduction
1. The Type 11 is an instrument panel mounted clock capable of recording elapsed time of up to 15 minute, in addition to the normal time measuring function.
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

The clock embodies a self-starting, eight day, 17-jewel lever movement with 'incabloc' shock proofing of the balance wheel, is waterproof, provides internal anti-oxidation and anti-fouling facilities and houses a self lubricating main spring. Indications are given by a normal hour, minute and sweep second hands, together with an offset subsidary hand which completes one revolution in fifteen minutes. The clockface has a main dial divided into 60 equal 1 minute divisions and a smaller subsidary dial with 15 equal 1 minute divisions; both dial markings having Arabic numerals. The dial markings and hands are fluorescent.
3. Located around the periphery of the clock is an adjustable dial and two controls,; one consist of a winder housing the elapsed time control, and an adjustment control which is operative when the hand setting control is pulled out.
